Reflection of Teaching Practice (Week 1-6/11-10/11)

As part of  the B.Ed curriculum the school internship started on 6/11/2023.I was assigned to Govt Boys HSS, Pettah school for my teaching practice.We were a group of seven members including student trainees from optionals Malayalam, English, Physical Science and Commerce.

Monday(06/11/2023)-We met the headmistress, Shivapriya ma'am and other teachers and handed over our attendance register.We were given a warm welcome by the HM during the assembly and all the other teachers wished us am amazing internship period.My first class was in 9th standard during the 4th period.I interoduced myself to the students and began the class with work energy and power chapter.

Tuesday(07/11/2023)-I had two periods,first in 8th standard and next in 9th standard.I introduced myself to the students of 8th standard there I began the chapter 'Solution'.I finished the portion 'Work' in 9th standard.

Wednesday(08/11/2023)-Today I only had substitution periods. I visited the laboratory of the school and checked if there are materials that I can make use for demonstrations.

Thursday(09/11/2023)-During the first period I taught the lesson 'Concentration of Solutions' in 8th standard, I also got substitution hour during 3rd period in 9th standard so I completed Kinetic Energy.

Friday(10/11/2023)-There was a talk session with the Alumni association members who were 1997 pass out batch. Students got Diwali sweets and had a very nice time talking with the alma maters.

My timetable indicates classes on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday a total of 4 periods per week. We were given the duty of lunch serving everyday. The students seem very curious to see us student teachers, I am looking forward to an amazing internship period that can strengthen my capabilities as a teacher.
