Phase 2 School Internship Week 1 (05/6-07/6)

"A well-educated mind will always have more questions than answers"

Helen Keller

The first week of my school internship has been a transformative experience, marking the beginning of a journey filled with learning, growth and an application of my academic knowledge.

Day 1 - World Environment Day celebrations were conducted. There was a special assembly where the students prepared posters for an exhibition. I met my concern teacher and also got the timetable.

Day 2 - A bit of cleaning was done by the us as our allotted room was dusty and messy. My team at Fort Mission Girls High School had 3 members, Arya Vijayan, Vrinda Vijayan and myself.

Day 3 - A rainy morning filled with the anticipation of the first interaction with my class.
My concerned teacher asked me to take up an extra division to teach. 8C was an active and responsive class, though it was an afternoon period they enthusiastically did all the activities and took part in the class.

This initial week has provided me with a quick picture about the nature of this school and its students. They maintain a strict discipline and hence, the quality of students are noteworthy. I hope to become a teacher who understands her students needs and mold myself to provide them with the opportunities to grow. I expect myself to take valuable lessons from this school internship.
