Phase 2 School Internship Week 2 (10/6-15/6)

"Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school"

Albert Einstein

Day 1- There were no substitution classes so far so I was a bit concerned about the pace of completing the lesson plans within the time. I had my first physics class in 8A. I'm was so happy to see such vibrant batch of children. They were quick to answer questions which makes me proud to be their teacher.

Day 2 - I got the first glance of how a substitution list looked like ! My first teaching practice was done in a school where the no: of students are low. I also went to the school laboratory to take some necessary stuffs needed for experiments and demonstration.

Day 3 - As usual the classes were taken according to the timetable in 8A and 8D. I asked permission to HM to use the projector for ICT classes.

Day 4 - I got a substitution in 8C as there was a PTA meeting for 8th standard students. I faced a little difficulty in managing the class as the students made noise while writing notes.

Day 5 - As part of the National Blood Donation day the school FM , FGFM conducted a half and hour podcast. There were a bunch of cultural and official events done through the FM.

Day 6 - It was a working Saturday but since there was a PSC exam afternoon the school was left by 12pm.

As I progressed in to the second week of teaching practice the initial excitement evolved in to a deeper engagement with the teaching process. This week has been pivotal for the understanding of the school's working, members, facilities and most importantly the students.
