Phase 2 School Internship Week 4 (24/6-28/6)

"Education is teaching our children to desire the right things"

Day 1 - It was a regular busy day as I got substitutions additional to my periods according to the time table. I try to find creative ideas these days to provide rich learning environment for my students.

Day 2 - This would me a day to remember in my teaching days. I asked the 5th standard students to make a greeting card since it was their art period and suddenly I was showered with greeting cards by the end of the period. The best reward a teacher can get is love from their students. 

Day 3 - "Anti Drug Day" was celebrated today. The students of 10th standard made emblems in association with the day. An awareness class taken by Dr Divya Nair (Child Counsellor) followed by the pledge taking were the highlights of the day. The learning package prepared by myself was introduced to students in 8D. A movie clip and other videos to explain the biological process of menstruation were included.

Day 4 - One of my teammates was on leave due to fever. So, apart from substitutions it was a regular week day.

Day 5 - The first chapters in both Physics and Chemistry got finished. 

Four weeks of teaching practice has completed. Now I feel like a part of school completely as I have started making progress in understanding each and every student in my class. I strive to make myself better to equip my students with the best advantage of science education. The other works as part of the school life gives me the opportunity to learn the technical aspect of working at school.
